(December 16)
We recently told you what some of the top runners and bloggers suggest as holiday gifts for friends and relatives.

Now our friends over at Running Insight are shedding some light on what products are moving in stores. (Running Insight is a twice-monthly digital magazine edited exclusively for more than 700 running specialty stores.)
This month they asked retailers “Whats Hot in Your Store this Holiday Season?”
Here’s the response:
Paul Carrozza, RunTex (TX) “Gift cards and accessories. We give a RunTex shirt with a purchase of a $100 gift card. It sells like hotcakes. This way the runner can get the perfect shoe.”
Ben Rosario, Big River Running (MO) “I would say the 2XU compression gear has been hot this Holiday season. Compression gear is really getting a lot of attention from the ‘gear-heads’ so they are buying it for themselves and it’s a great gift because it’s easy to explain to someone looking for a present for that special runner in their life.”
Matt Lucas, Luke’s Locker (TX) “Garmin 405s, compression, Newton and Vibram Five Fingers footwear.”
Guy Perry, Salt Lake Running Company (UT) “The Nike+ System, Nike lunarGlide, Zoot compression, the Garmin 310 XT, Vibram Five Fingers, GU Roctane gel, Sport legs, Smart Wool socks, heart rate monitors, low profile shoes, winter running gear, gift cards, Asics 2150 and Kayano, Brooks Adrenaline, compression sleeves, compression socks, EFS (Electrolyte Fuel System) and the ‘Born to Run’ book.”
